Super-Curricular Activities Introduction

In addition to providing a rich A Level curriculum and delivering excellent teaching, TJGHCIS also offers students a range of "super-curricular activities." Some of these programs are led by our own teachers, such as the IPQ, while others are provided by external institutions or universities. Over time, the school will continue to partner with more prestigious external organizations and universities to provide even broader enrichment resources for students.

During the 2026 summer term camp, the school offered numerous competition courses for students, including but not limited to: AMC (American Mathematics Competition), NEC (National Economics Challenge), BBO (British Biology Olympiad), BPA (Business Professional Assessment), and UKCHO (UK Chemistry Olympiad). These also cover humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, further helping students enhance their subject abilities and broaden their knowledge boundaries.

About the IPQ Program

The Cambridge International Project Qualification (Cambridge IPQ) is an independent research project designed by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CIE) specifically for students aged 16-19. It aims to develop students' academic research skills and their ability to apply methods to solve problems.

Under the guidance of teachers, students independently choose a topic and complete an academic paper of approximately 5,000 words, covering topic selection, literature review, data collection and analysis, presentation of findings, and reflective summary. The program is not limited to any subject area — students are encouraged to explore topics that combine personal interests with current academic themes, laying the foundation for university applications and future academic research.
